This Invitation for Open Tendering follows the General Procurement Notice for this project, which was published in the 'Procurement Opportunities Supplement', dated August 1999 and updated on the EBRD's web site on 2nd November 2010.

Closed Joint Stock Company "Ukrainian Energy Service Company" (UkrESCO), hereinafter referred to as "the Employer", intends using part of the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) towards the implementation of an energy saving project.

The Employer now invites sealed tenders from contractors for implementation of energy saving project Z011: Modernization of juice filtration system at "Kraevyd" LLC, Zgurovka vil, Kiev oblast, Ukraine.

The contract includes:

Supply the following technological equipment and works:

1. Membrane chamber filter press with vertical disposition of plates oriented for productivity of the plant with processing of 3000 t of beets per day;

2. Auxiliary equipment;

3. Chief-assembling of supplied equipment;

4. Adjustment of supplied equipment, staff training.

Tendering for contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank is open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law or official regulation of Ukraine.

To be qualified for the award of a contract, tenderers must satisfy the following minimum criteria:

• During the last three years, the tenderer had experience as a main Contractor of Supply, Chief-assembling and Adjustment of the above equipment;

• The tenderer shall have the necessary plant and equipment, licenses and experienced site staff to execute the aforesaid project within the time schedule;

• The tenderer shall be able to supply spare parts and provide repair service as required in tender documents;

• The tenderer shall have the annual turnover of USD 2.000.000,00 (two million US dollars) in any year during the last three years;

• The tenderer shall submit the tender security in the amount of USD 25 000.00 (twenty five thousand US dollars, 00 cents).

Tender documents may be obtained by mail or from the office at the address below upon payment of a non-refundable fee for tender documents of UAH 2400.00 (including VAT of UAH 400.00) or EURO 230 payable by bank transfer to a respective bank of the Employer, the tenderer paying all banker's charges due to the transfer of this fee:

If requested, the documents will be promptly dispatched by courier, but no liability can be accepted for loss or late delivery. Only tenderers, who have purchased the tender documents, will be considered eligible to submit their tenders.

Tenders must be delivered to the office at the address below on or before 11 a.m. on March 09th 2011, at which time they will be opened in the presence of those tenderers' representatives who choose to attend.
