In accordance with EGTC Regulation 1082/2006/EC on European Grouping for Territorial Cooperation adopted by the European Parliament and Act XCIX of 2007 on European Grouping for Territorial Cooperation adopted by the Hungarian National Assembly on 25 June 2007,

Novohrad-Nógrád European Grouping of Territorial Co-operation Limited Liability is officially registered in Hungary.

Name of grouping

- Entire Hungarian denomination: Novohrad-Nógrád Korlátolt Felelősségű Európai Területi Együttműködési Csoportosulás, Abbreviated name: Novohrad-Nógrád ETT;

- Entire Slovakian denomination: Európske zoskupenie územnej spolupráce Novohrad-Nógrád s ručením obmedzeným, Abbreviated name: EZÚS Novohrad-Nógrád;

- Entire English denomination: Novohrad-Nógrád European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation with Limited Liability, Abbreviated name: Novohrad-Nógrád EGTC.

Objectives

1. The general objective of the Grouping is to promote the cooperation beyond borders among its members in order to reinforce economic and social cohesion:

a) decreasing the degree of unemployment through economic stimulus programs;

b) preparing comprehensive plans, which facilitate the effective access to various forms of support;

c) calling attention to the region's developmental programs;

d) assisting the region's sustainable development.

2. The special objectives of the Grouping, in relation to the activity of the Geopark:

.a. infrastructural developments;

.b. business development, the support of small and mid-sized businesses, stimulating investments;

.c. generating and developing education, training, and research;

.d. increasing the intensity of tourism and establishing a higher level of supply based upon the natural surroundings and the facilitation of active tourism;

.e. protection of nature and environment.
