This notice is an update to the GPN published on EBRD's web-site on 1 September 2010.

SE "Sea Commercial Port of Illichivsk" (the Port) intends using the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development [the Bank] for a project to modernise the Port's infrastructure including reconstruction of dilapidated existing berths, supply of cargo handling equipment and carry out dredging. The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of EUR 38.9 million equivalent, will require the procurement of the following goods and works:

• reconstruction of existing berths Nos. 7, 8 and 9;

• capital dredging;

• supply of cargo handling equipment including:

- port cranes;

- port tractors and semi-trailers.

Tendering for the civil works contract expected to begin in the second quarter of 2011. Tendering for equipment is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2011. Tendering for dredging is expected to begin in the first quarter 2014.

Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank will be subject to the Bank's 'Procurement Policies and Rules' and will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
